Welcome to the dedicated website for plans to transform a vacant warehouse site into a new rental community in central Reading that would be developed and managed by the John Lewis Partnership (JLP).

SCROLL DOWN

Reading is experiencing rapid growth and enormous demand for new homes. We have an opportunity to regenerate a vacant John Lewis warehouse site in Mill Lane, located next to the A329 and opposite the Oracle car park to create a thriving new rental community.

By transforming this well-connected, existing developed land (or ‘brownfield’ site) we would create 170 energy-efficient homes, all of which would be managed by the John Lewis Partnership for years to come.

This means it’s in our interests to construct high-quality homes that are thoughtfully designed and managed with the same commitment to high standards that we apply across our John Lewis and Waitrose stores.

We are proposing a variety of community benefits, including affordable housing, improved public realm, new public spaces and community partnerships.

Please explore the website to learn more about our plans.

Thank you for taking the time to consider our enhanced proposals to deliver 170 new, high-quality rental homes at Mill Lane. If you have any questions, please complete the contact form below, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
